Delete your Anglr account

You can delete your Anglr account and its data at any time, in the app or
by email. You do not need to have the app installed to ask by email.
Option 1: in the app
- Open the menu and tap Preferences.
- Tap Account, then Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted and tap Continue.
- Enter your password and tap Delete forever.
Your account is deleted right away, and the app also removes your data from that phone.
Option 2: by email
Send an email to anglr.app@proton.me from the email
address of your Anglr account, with the subject Delete my account. If you
write from another address, we will ask you to confirm that the account is yours before we
delete anything. We complete email requests within 30 days and reply when
it is done.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address, username and password.
- Your profile and app preferences.
- Your Premium cloud backup, if you have one: fishing spots, sessions, catches, trails,
gear and planned trips.
- Your usage counters (for example, daily fish-recognition scans) and notification
settings.
- Your subscription record at RevenueCat, our subscription provider.
What is not deleted, and for how long
- Data on another phone. Anglr keeps your diary on your phone. If you
delete by email, or the app is installed on more than one phone, that data stays until you
uninstall the app or clear its data.
- Google Play purchases. Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium
subscription. Cancel it first in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions). Google keeps
its own purchase records under its own terms.
- Server backups. Our database host keeps short-lived backups for
recovery. Deleted data disappears from them automatically within 30 days.
